President’s Corner – March, 2024

Kay Klinkenborg, our March speaker, shared invaluable and timely information with usabout the rise of Christian Nationalism and Project 2025. Her resources will be posted to the SCDC website in the near future.

In the upcoming months, we will be hosting speakers who will be updating us on volunteer opportunities, the ERA, education issues, as well as being able to hear fromour candidates. Please join us on the first Thursday of each month either in person or by Zoom as we prepare for the the primaries in July and the general election in November.

As SCDC has grown in membership and means of communication (website, newsletter,etc), we have had a number of requests to distribute non-club and club literature. The Board realized that we needed to share with members, in writing, a policy that the Board has been following regarding requests by club members and outside organizations (ex. LD28, NOW, etc.) to post or share information and literature.

Therefore:

• “Any club distribution of literature must be pre-approved by the SCDC Presidentand at least one other board
• All literature must meet standard practices of the club and RCSC and public and civil discourse.”
